Bowleaze Cove is a picturesque area that is approximately 2 miles to the east of
Weymouth town centre. It is dominated by The Riviera
Hotel, a long white Spanish style building of the old Pontin’s holiday
camp. It is the home of Waterside Holiday Park and
Bowleaze Cove has an amusement complex, cafe, Fun Fair, Go-Karting and Monday
open air market.

Bowleaze Beach is a pebbly beach backed by cliffs, there are odd patches of sand. You are able to walk along the beach all the way into Weymouth and as you progress towards Weymouth the beach becomes sand.
Bowleaze Cove is
also home to the excellent five star Waterside Holiday Park. I understand
that
this is the only five star holiday park in
Weymouth.
The River Jordan flows into the sea at Bowleaze Cove, it is a small river with its source in the hills above Sutton Poyntz, running down through Preston and finally flowing out onto the beach.
You can walk to the Jordan Hill Roman Temple and just behind in Osmington Hill is The White Horse of Osmington Hill
Bowleaze Cove is popular for water sports and has it own jet-ski designated area.
